Ref Pay Information

 Rules Reminders 2011-12 – High School

·        If a team elects to play shorthanded due to caution or injury the substitute may not enter until next legal opportunity. 

·        If player leaves the field of play due to injury both teams have unlimited subs from the bench.

·        Excessive Celebration now Caution. 

·         Injured goalkeepers who are attended on field MUST leave the field of play  until next legal substitution.

·         Report Required for ALL RED CARDS!

·         For suspected concussion – remove player; have team medical evaluate; allow re-entry if cleared by medical personnel.  **ALWAYS submit officials report**

·         # of Coaches:  There shall be no more than 6 non-roster members in any team's bench area for soccer all may be cautioned or red carded.

·         Rules Comparison Chart and Misconduct Penalty Chart in MHSAA rule book.  PLEASE REVIEW.

·         Weather Delays-- 90 min wait for lightning & Thunder – more if non school day if both teams and referees agree

·         Review your insert for post season play.  New insert on web site under high school link.

·        ARRIVE AT LEAST 30 MIN BEFORE SCHEDULED KICKOFF.

In order to be assigned matches your annual MCRA dues must be paid.  If needed please send check ASAP, $20 for adults/ $5 for students still in high school.  Make check payable to MCRA.  Mail to:

 REMINDER:  All referees must attend a 5 hour recert class each fall or winter.  All available classes will be listed on www.msysareferee.net .  If you know anyone interested in becoming a referee pass the website information on to them.  Entry level class information will also be listed.
